Elementor Header & Footer not allowing image upload

    I just discovered this issue, i dont know if it has to be with the fact that the plugin received an update recently but, when im making the header of my study site (i use Local WP so no links to provide, srry) i try to upload a .png or .jpg or any kind of file that is allowed to upload normally but i receive the following message:

    “This file is not allowed for security reasons.”

    That being said, i tried to take a look at the previous site i created last month (again with Local WP) and using the same plugin Elementor Header & Footer – this time it was not updated – and things flowed just accordingly. I was able to upload the images normally, which makes me think theres a bug(?) or something with the plugin.

    I tried deactivating other plugins im using in actual study site (Royal Addons) to check if the problem was actually an incompatibility, but also no good outcome and i still received the same message.

    Im a beginner so, if someone answer this, please use simple language (sorry)

    Hi @zafiragabriely,

    I don’t think it is related to this plugin. Are you able to upload the same file, directly from the Media Library? If you still can’t do that, this plugin is not culprit.

    After receiving it I looked up a bit more and it seems that maybe the problem is with Local WP’s new update, as I have seen some users of Local having the same issue recently.

    But yes, after downgrading Local WP i was able to upload media from the Dashboard, this is the only way that works.

    Hi @zafiragabriely,

    I am a user of LocalWP myself, however, I don’t have any issue uploading images, either from the Media Library or this plugin. Maybe there’s a specific case for this.
