Hi, wondering if this will work with Elementor? I’m not seeing anything about it in the other support topics. TIA

    Hi @patrickhealy!

Yes, as far as we know, both plugins work well together. Just a few considerations:

    • Post’s bylines are displayed by your theme. So it is your theme that needs to be compatible with Molongui Authorship. Most of them are
    • The author box needs to be configured outside Elementor’s Editor, either from our plugin settings page or editing the post using the WP’s edit-post screen

That goes for Elementor. Elementor Pro provides additional widgets and a theme builder tool. In that case, you might need Molongui Authorship Pro too.

I’m closing this ticket now, but if you have further questions regarding Elementor + Molongui Authorship, feel free to re-open it.

Hi, I’m jumping onto this thread because it’s pertinent to my question.

Does Molongui Authorship PRO have an Elementor widget with styling controls for the Post Author Byline?

I tried using the Shortcode with Elementor Shortcode block and the Post Byline does not display. The Shortcode itself displays on the page. Not sure why this is. Do I have to configure something in the settings for shortcodes to work or do I have to upgrade to PRO? Can you style the Post Byline to have an Author Avatar as a circle? Are there Shortcode variables for the Post Author Byline shortcode?

Whoops, wrong plugin. Editing this to remove a comment.

    Hi @tonyzeoli,

No, no version of Molongui Authorship provides any widget for Elementor at this time. But as you very well point out, shortcodes are available instead. However, yes, they are only available with Molongui Authorship Pro (that’s why you get the shortcode’s plain text when using it with the free version).

Yes, you can get a byline like the one you describe using two of the provided shortcodes:

Both accept several attributes/variables you can use to customize the output you get.

If you go Pro, you can open a ticket with us and we will help you to configure them to get the byline you describe.
