After Elementor is deactivated by wordpress because of an error, I want to install it back. There showed up a button to install elementor, but I constantly get an error wich is saying that elementor cannot be installed because of an error.

I thought that there was lack of space, but after creating some space it says: ‘destination folder already exists’.
    Can someone help me out?

I think that I have to delete the destination folder en install elementor again, but I don’t know how.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for contacting us.

The “destination folder already exists” error occurs when a previous installation of the plugin has left some files behind, preventing a fresh install. Here’s how you can resolve this issue:

    1. Delete the Existing Elementor Folder Manually:
      • Access your website’s files via FTP or through your hosting control panel’s file manager.
      • Navigate to wp-content/plugins/.
      • Look for a folder named elementor.
      • Delete the elementor folder.
    2. Reinstall Elementor:
      • After deleting the folder, go back to your WordPress dashboard.
      • Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
      • Search for Elementor and click Install Now.
      • Activate the plugin once it’s installed.

Please backup you site before you apply this.

    Hope this helps.
