This issues happened after l undated to the latest version of elementor. The process didnt go smoothly and seemed to hang during the upgrade.
I have disabled all other plugins and still have the issue. I have tried a different template and still had the issue.
Thinking that l would like to reinstall elementor what is the best way to do this?

    Please follow this steps:

    – Deactivate all of your plugins. If this solves the problem, gradually activate your plugins one by one, until you spot the problematic plugin.
    – If you have a caching plugin, make sure you deactivate it, or even better – purge the cache.
    – Change your WordPress theme to WordPress TwentySixteen (or other default WordPress theme).

Also, see if you can increase your memory as 40MB is very small.

I’d suggest at least 256M especially with Yoast, Smush and SC Ultimate combined with Elementor. I’d even be curious to see if you’re getting errors in the browser console when trying to load the editor, probably something like 5XX errors which is the server not responding/time outs likely related to not enough memory to complete processing.
