I updated Elementor last night and now my “content width” is being ignored. No matter if I set it on 1375 or 900, the content is always in full width.

See my blog: [ redundant link removed ], which is a blog I just made.

Before the update I made this blog: [ redundant link removed ], as you can see the content width is 1375 as it should be.

Can someone please help me out? When I open the page in Elementor it does say “boxed” and “1375” at the content width slider.

I already tried clearing cache, disabling other plugins, rebuilding elementor CSS and things like that but nothing helps.

P.S. inside elementor it looks fine, but when I visit the page in question the width is gone. I also just noticed that my image gallery from the Happy Elementor Addons does only work in Elementor preview, but when I view my page in live mode it does not work.

I just saw that the CTA from “Exclusive Addons Elementor” is not working either anymore. It is placed but the CSS is not working properly too. If i look at my old pages, they still work. So maybe Elementor is not storing it properly?

  • Hi,

To troubleshoot the issue please try this guideline:
Make sure you use the most updated versions of Elementor, WordPress & your theme. Sometimes it isn’t apparent that there is an update available. Go to Dashboard > Updates and click the Check Again button to be sure. (Make sure to back up your site).

Go to Elementor > Settings on your WordPress dashboard. Click the Advanced tab and switch the CSS print method to Internal embedding.
Clear all cache: your browser’s cache, and other plugins’ cache.

If the issue persists, deactivate all plugins apart from Elementor. If this helps, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit.
If it didn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) to a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Sixteen and see if it makes any difference.

From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Elementor > Settings > Experiments. Change all of the experiments to Inactive except the Flex Box experiment. Click Save Changes.

Check the issue from a different browser or incognito mode to rule out the possibility of browser addon conflict.

With all respect but, why do you guys always use a “copy and paste” reply. I did all of those things thanks to the amazing world of Google. As said, the problems happend right after I updated Elementor to the latest version.

I will do them all again just to tripple check and let you know the outcome, and hopefully we can start figuring out what might be wrong then ??
