Elementor Pro 3.21.2 not abandoned

    I think Elementor Pro 3.21.2 has been treated with wrong information. It has been noticed the last update of Elementor Pro 3.21.2 was 2 years ago and tested with wordpress 6.5.3…

    Well, WordPress 6.5.3 did not exist 2 years ago because it is the latest version of WordPress.

    I checked with Elementor official forum on Facebook and they said this is false positive.

  • I got a similar message. I have only one client site that uses Elementor, and last week wordfence said:
    * The Plugin “Elementor Pro” appears to be abandoned (updated 10 May 2022, tested to WP 6.5.3).

    But it’s not true. It was last updated 2 weeks ago. From their changelog:
    The latest updates to the Elementor Pro plugin? Elementor Pro – by Elementor.com 3.21.2 – 2024-04-30

    Hi @minoru-nitta and @michaelwagner,

    Today we were made aware of an update from Elementor Pro where the developers have now updated the last_updated date in their API to 2024-04-30 12:30:35, so subsequent manual or scheduled full scans should no longer have this show up as abandoned.

    The version number displayed in WordPress is hardcoded, but our scanner relies on www.ads-software.com’s plugin repository for any plugins obtained through Plugins > Add New in WordPress itself.

    For premium plugins such as this where the version information doesn’t come from the www.ads-software.com repository, it is up to the developers to hook into the WordPress plugins_api?to return compatible and up-to-date information for Wordfence to see. We’ve seen many occasions where this has been forgotten, but is often soon rectified.
