• Hi, first of all I like this plugin, good job and thanks!

I am using Elementor Pro and I could not get things to work. However I have a similar plugin on another site and I remember that I had the same issue. What I had to do was activate the Google Maps API as well as The Google Places API. So I did this and it works fine on an Elementor form widget. However In the console it shows this error:

” Google Maps JavaScript API has been loaded directly without a callback. This is not supported and can lead to race conditions and suboptimal performance. For supported loading patterns please see https://goo.gle/js-api-loading”

Not sure if this is bad? However my other site with a different plugin shows the same error and I have had that running for years. Maybe you can give some info as to what it is?

The other issue which I have not been able to sort out, is that it will not work on an Elementor Popup template. Maybe you have a fix for this?

Sorry I cant give you a link to my site as it’s maintenance mode as I am building it.

Thanks again and hope you have a couple of answers.

    Cheers, Just

@justt2552 the error about Google Maps API shouldn’t impact the functionality.

However, regarding the issue you are seeing, I will need to see the website (plugin activated) to see what could be causing it. If you can’t share the website link then another common issue is adding the right field ID.

Note that if forms are duplicated then Elementor will carry on the same field IDs in the duplicated form. As a requirement and general good practice is to have a unique ID for elements.

If you are copying the Field IDs from the Form widget in Elementor then it will not work because Elementor adds a prefix usually “form-field” before the ID when the page is published. Thus, you have to open the page right-click on the field you want the address auto-complete on and then get the ID from there. See this for help: https://saa.khadim.nz/kb/how-to-find-the-field-id

Also, if you have duplicate field IDs it will not. Again, field IDs must be unique.

I have not tested the plugin with Elementor Popups yet. I will test and get back to you on this.

I hope this helps, let me know if there’s something else.

    Thanks

Hi thanks for getting back to me.

Just so you know everything is working fine, I just made the point that I had to add the Maps javascript api and the Places api in then generate the api key for it to work.

If I just added the Places api on its own without the Maps JS api as your instructions say, then it did not work.

I still can’t get the popup to work so if you can try that out and get back to me that would be great.

    Thanks Again
