• Elementor Section Background Image with Pod Field type “Images” not showing.

The image is shown if we add an image element but not as a background or overlay image.

    Recreate it:
    Create any Pods:
Add field image (Single) type images
Create a template for a single post for that post
    create section
add a section background image from pod or overlay image from the pods
It will not show – however, add it as an image it will work.

    PS.
It works fine with ACF or with toolset

    Hi @101sam

Elementor doesn’t fully support all Pods field types. They have made some integration code but it’s unfinished. Please contact their support channel for a solution!

OK, After many, many hours of testing with eliminator teams, the problem is not in Elementor. It’s between Pods, or WordPress upload media. There are some cases when media is uploaded via WordPress or 3rd party plugin, the URL of the media is not recognized by PODs.

To Solve it: Re-upload the media again, and Pods will see it.

We had to re-upload about 40-60 images on the site: https://kidsontheyard.com/ to solve it.

I will add this solution as a workaround in case someone has a problem with integrations with Elementor.

We try to replicate the problem with a different site, and it only happened when we had a site that upgrades from “Custom Post Type UI” + “Advanced Custom Fields PRO” to Pods.
We suspect that it’s related to the upgrade process, very hard to put the finger on exactly why.

    Kindly,
    Sam

    Hi @101sam

The only part in relation to upgrading from CPTUI and ACT to Pods is that these plugins might store the image relationship differently?
    Have you checked the database?

We tried but couldn’t identify if it’s due to CPTUI and ACT backward compatibility (upgrades from older versions) or just because it somehow stored differently.

One of the reasons we share the workaround for this issue.

    Hi @101sam

Now that I think this more thoroughly. I think this is related to the following issue: https://github.com/pods-framework/pods/issues/5190
The issue is mainly about relationships but a custom image fields is in fact a relationship as well.
