    Hello @latindancemovement,

    Remove purple color by following given steps:

    Please login to Your Admin Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize -> Colors -> Here you will see background color setting please click on this color setting. Then clear button will appear. Now, Click on the clear button to remove your purple color from the your website.

    You can refresh your website again. Your website will look in full width layout.

    And for the confilict your contents with the header:

    Go to your Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS -> Copy below css code and paste it into additional css setting box.

    .navbar-header-wrap{
    z-index: 99999;
    }
