Elementor template not updating

    Hi,

    i created a box with some text etc. in Elementor, if i edit a page with Elementor.
    I saved this box as template (right mouse click on “section edit”).

    I put this template in other Elementor pages.

    Later in WP Dashboard > Templates i edit this template and change some text. But on all pages where the template is includ the changes are not updated. I cleared the browser chache, press STRG+Shift+R or STRG+F5, but nothing changed.

    Why does the template not update itself on the pages?

  • I am not from Elementor team, but it does not work on that way.

    You should edit/change text directly on your pages, not in saved template. Look on saved template like on “backup layout”. So, once you have included/added that template on some page, you can/should edit directly content on that page – it as a copy of saved template – it is not like the saved template is “implemented” in the page.

    Hi,

    thanks. Ah ok, then I have misunderstood this.

    But, if i add a shortcode in an elementor page and include a shortcode from a template, this template will updated everywhere i added as shortcode?

    But i can′t find shortcodes for my templates in the wp dashboard. Where, how can i get the template shortcode?

    I am afraid they are only available in the pro version, right?

    I think that may be what you are looking for. There are a lot of plugins which are build “around” the Elementor.

    The Elementor team has done amazing job not only with Elementor it self, but also with how easy is to “expand it”.
