    Hi

New Client site is using Elementor V 3.14.0-cloud2 (needs to be updated to 3.25.0-dev2

They also have installed Elementor Beta (Developer Edition) installed V 1.1.3

and Elementor Pro V 3.14.0-cloud2 (needs to be updated to 3.2.24.4) but we don’t have login credentials for paid version.

I’ve tried to duplicate the website and restore onto a test server (via backupbuddy), but the elementor plugins are NOT coming across in the restore.

So therefore as I need to UPDATE these plugins, but worried we may have an issue (as I never update on live sites firstly), always on a test server in case things go wrong.

I don’t have the details of the Elementor Pro version login anyway and client doesn’t either.

But as you are the free plugin, if you could try and help and explain this version ?

Elementor V 3.14.0-cloud2 (needs to be updated to 3.25.0-dev2

WHY is there a -cloud2 version AND a -dev2 version in the free version ?

    I’m quite confused.

    Thanks

    Kristin

    Hi Kristin,

If the website has the Elementor Beta Developer Edition plugin, it will install the dev version of the Elementor.

For more details about Elementor Beta: https://elementor.com/help/elementor-developer-edition/

It is not recommended to use Elementor Beta in a live site. If you would like to use the regular version of plugin, you can deactivate the Developer Edition. Here’s how: https://elementor.com/help/revert-to-release-from-developer-edition/

And since the website is hosted by Elementor, you can open a support ticket at my.elementor.com
    ref: https://elementor.com/help/how-to-submit-a-support-ticket/

I’d also suggest you check out Elementor Community Group on Facebook. We have created it to connect Elementor users together and share knowledge, Global Elementor Community.

www.ads-software.com rules state that commercial products are not supported here.

    Kind regards,

    THanks for your reply.

Could you also confirm if I am duplicating the website with backupbuddy, it should also then duplicate the plugins for Elementor (3) from within the site.

Would it be because the Elementor is being hosted directly with Elementor and that is WHY we cannot backup the whole website onto a TEST SITE ?

I never update plugins on a Live site firstly, therefore I needed to duplicate the site onto a TEST SITE (not hosted by Elementor) so I can update All plugins to ENSURE that the site doesn’t crash. Especially as it has the Beta Version on there etc.

    Thanks
