Sorry for the vague title but that’s just it, it won’t start.

Hey, I decided to make a copy of my site on my local computer so I don’t have to edit on the live site.

When I go to edit with Elementor, I get an error message that reads

Warning: Cannot assign an empty string to a string offset in X:\server\www\wordpress\wp-includes\class.wp-scripts.php on line 492

twice, then it goes to the loading screen and just doesn’t load.

    I have tried:

    • Launching in safe mode
    • Switching editor loading method
    • Disabling all other plugins aside from Elementor

    so far nothing works.

    I am using:

    • Windows 7 Professional SP1
    • nginx 1.9.4
    • PHP 7.4.17
    • MariaDB 10.4.12
    • WordPress 5.6
    • GeneratePress 3.0.2
    • Elementor 3.0.16

It works just fine on the live site, any ideas what could be wrong with my setup?

I used the method described here for the error message, but Elementor still will not start.

I am getting some 404 errors looking for http:/localhost/wordpress/wp-json/elementor/v1/globals. No wp-json folder exists, should there be one?

If anyone else is having this problem, it had to do with using Duplicator to move from Apache to nginx. I installed Apache and am using that instead, it works just fine now.
