• Hello,

Since the latest update for the free version of Elementor, I have noticed that wherever the “Zoom In” has been used, it’s become massive when loading the website, before it was a subtle Zoom in animation and not so in your face.

This seems to be affecting other websites where the Zoom In animation has been used.

WordPress and all plugins are up to date.

    Thanks
    Javed

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out!

It appears that the latest update to our plugin has caused the “Zoom In” animation to behave differently, causing a more pronounced effect than expected on your website. This could be due to changes in the way animations are handled by our recent update.

In our recent update, we have split animations.min.css into multiple CSS files and load them conditionally.

Go to Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS & Data. This will rebuild the CSS and JavaScript files for Elementor. Now, if you’re using a caching plugin (like WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, etc.), clear your site’s cache.

Also you can go to the section/widget where you’ve applied the “Zoom In” effect and review its settings. Verify the duration and scale values (under the Advanced > Motion Effects section). If the scale is too large, adjust it to a more subtle value (e.g., around 1.05–1.1 for a light zoom effect).

I hope this helps you to solve the problem. Let me know how it goes, or if you need further assistance!

Hi, I am having the same issue with multiple sites. Some of them have a lot of Zoom animation and it looked great before the update.

Joel, I implemented the fix you mentioned but the animation keeps going back to the “new” Zoom look which is really terrible.

I have reverted back the updates for Elementor on all sites.

Can you please advise if your team is going to fix the animation issue, otherwise it will take enormous work and frustration to put in different animation throughout a range of websites as the new Zoom animation is very in your face, as tddjaved mentioned?

    Hi @joelsm

I have implemented that change and cleared the cache in WordPress and on the server and that doesn’t seem to have helped.

It momentarily worked on a development site I am currently worked on but after refreshing the page again, the zoom in effect is in your face again.

I think this is a bug on your end and needs to be looked into, as this will be affecting loads of websites with that animation set.

    Thank you,
    Javed

I have the same issue. If I clear the cache and ‘regenerate CSS and data,’ it works. As soon as I refresh the page a second time, the problem returns…

    Hi @joelsm

Do we have an update on this?

Since, I’ve noticed that Elementor has been updated, the problem still exists.

    Thanks,
    Javed

I have the same issue on a ‘ZoomIn’ animation which is actually looking more like a ‘ZoomOut’ after updating to the latest version of elementor. Regenerating css and data only works until the next reload of the page.

    Hi @miloss84

I’ve updated Elementor to Version 3.24.3, gone to Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS > cleared the cache and tested it in several browsers. I can confirm the Zoom functionality seems to be working as normal.

What I have noticed is if you are logged into WordPress and refresh the page several times (homepage) or the page that has the zoom animation on, it reverts back to being in your face, however when logging out of WordPress and then refreshing the page on the frontend, the Zoom functionality is working as expected.

    Thanks,
    Javed

    Hi there,

In our environment the “ElementsKit Lite” addon causes the zoom in effect issue on the second page reload. Try to disable it.

It might be a different topic, but the pulse effect is not working in the latest Elementor version.

    Best,

    Hi @smartcloud

I’m using ElementsKit Lite for the header and footer of the websites I am building amongst the other widgets the plugin offers.

I can’t disable the plugin, otherwise it’ll end up removing the header + footer.

    Thanks,
    Javed

    Kind regards,

I have a huge amounts of sites with literally hundreds of elements using the Zoom effect.
Whatever changes you made, it has reversed the zoom direction from in to out.
The Pulse animation no longer works either.
All my sites use ElementsKit header and footer.
The issue obviously isn’t with ElementsKit, because, as you have said, the changes are due to an update with Elementor.
I cannot be expected to go to every single element to change its entrance animation.

This is ridiculous and has been going on for way too long now.
Please fix the zoom animation you broke on your last update.
It worked perfectly for years until you released this update.
Clients are now complaining about the complete mess of massive elements flying around the screen.
We have hundreds of client sites, each with multiple elements using the zoom effect.
You cannot seriously expect us to spend days, weeks, revisiting hundreds of client sites to fix this mess you yourselves created.
It’s your responsibility to either fix this plugin or at the very least roll it back to a functional version until you can rewrite the code correctly and actually test it before releasing it.

Rolling back the Elementor version to 3.23.3 is the only practical solution until the Elementor team show some interest in resolving this issue.
This was the last working version before they broke the zoom animation.
It’s working again for me now since rolling back to 3.23.3
