  • Same here – 3 of our client sites got this error when we update them

Seems to have issues with 3.18.0. You can revert to 3.17.3 from Tools -> Version Control. That will fix the issue until they release a new update.

Same here – Elementor\Element_Section::handle_control_position: Cannot add a control outside of a section (use start_controls_section). Any soluitons yet?

Same here, and Elementor keeps updating itself to the newest version even when I have turned it back 3 versions ago (the only one that works is 3.17.2) by using Tools -> Version Control and turning it back to the functioning version. After a few hours, it’s back to the newest Elementor version and yes, I have of course turned off auto-update. Please advise as my client needs his booking form Metform Pro to be functioning 24 hours. I′m using the latest version of the Metform plugin. Thank you. ????

    It’s a plugin conflict.
By deactivating “Met Form Pro” I solved the problem!

Same issue, updated MetForm Pro to fix it.

Hello, is there no root-cause solution to this issue? Rolling back component versions or deactivating plug-ins does not seem to be a viable long-term resolution. Thanks.

Thank you to maxqdesign — updating metform Pro solved the issue completely for me. So the solution wasn’t rolling back the plugin, it was shelling out $80 for a lifetime metform pro update– well worth it to fix this issue! (We have some lengthy forms that metform does beautifully; if you are not using metform pro much, maybe using a different form builder is the way to go.)
