I have just started using free elementor with www.ads-software.com 6.4.3 on a local machine (xampp) with Linux xfce4. However, I am having a problem with loading times. The Elementor editor is taking AGES to load. Looking to purchase pro but am worried it won’t work:/

    I have tried the following:

-Changing theme(slightly faster but still very slow).

    -Clearing the cache

-Changed the Switch Editor Loader Method to enable.

    -StartedI Safe mode and uninstalled
However, none of these resolves the issue of the elementor editor taking ages to load!

Been stuck for days! Any help would be most appreciated!

    Hi there,

If you’re experiencing slow loading times with the free version of Elementor, there could be several reasons behind it.

    1. Check System Resources: Ensure that your local machine has sufficient resources allocated to run XAMPP and WordPress smoothly. You may want to check CPU and RAM usage to see if there are any bottlenecks.
    2. Update Elementor and WordPress: Make sure you’re using the latest versions of both Elementor and WordPress. Sometimes, performance improvements and bug fixes are included in updates.
    3. Theme Compatibility: Ensure that the theme you’re using is compatible with Elementor. Some themes may not work well with page builders, leading to slow loading times or other issues.
    4. Plugin Conflict: Deactivate other plugins temporarily to see if any of them are causing conflicts with Elementor. Sometimes, incompatible plugins can slow down the loading speed.
    5. Cache: Implement a caching solution like WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache to speed up page loading times by serving static HTML files.
    6. Optimize Images: Large image files can significantly slow down page loading times.
    7. Server Configuration: Check your XAMPP server configuration to ensure it’s optimized for WordPress development. You may need to adjust settings like PHP memory limit, max execution time, etc.
    8. Browser Extensions: Disable any browser extensions or add-ons that might be interfering with Elementor’s loading process.
    9. Internet Connection: If you’re running a local server but accessing it through a browser, ensure that your internet connection is stable. A slow or unstable connection can affect loading times.

    Hello @flamey23,

    Thank you for contacting us.

If you are facing issue on any specific page, please try using a different browser like Chrome and see if that helps.

If the issue happens even when creating a new page, the issue is related to the XAMPP configuration.

I would recommend you to try using Elementor on TasteWP to check if this is an issue related to your server configuration.

    Ref: https://tastewp.com/

If you are using multiple plugins, please try deactivating them as well.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards.
