• I have a confusing issue.

I am using this plugin in conjunction with Autoptimize and have used all of the recommended settings.

In GTMetrix I have an “A” under defer parsing of JS. Check.

In Google Pagespeed Insights however, I still get the nag “eliminate render-blocking sources”:
    …autoptimize/autoptimize_6ab5b99….php(arborhousenc.com)
    79 KB
    1,830 ms
    …jquery/jquery.js(arborhousenc.com)
    37 KB
    1,380 ms
    …autoptimize/autoptimize_single_c31fcce….php?v=1365(arborhousenc.com)
    2 KB
    480 ms

Shouldn’t the “defer” setting get rid of this nag for the Autoptimize files?
I have cleared all of my caches and rerun the test many times. Is there anything I’m missing?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

well, I suppose jquery had to be excluded from being asynced? Regarding the two autoptimize files; those are CSS, which cannot be deferred the same way JS can, but has a look at the “inline & defer”-option, more info in the AO FAQ.

    hope this clarifies,
    frank
