Eliminating the edit function at the bottom of a theme

  • How do I turn off the edit function once my post and pages have been posted? I see edit next to the comments and it’s clickable which means anyone can edit my pages or posts. I was logged in as the administrator when creating these. Can this be changed or do I have to start from scratch logged in as an author?

  • You see the edit link because you are logged in.

    Log out and see if it’s gone.

    Even if they could see the link (which they won’t) it doesn’t automatically mean they have the ability to edit your posts..

    A link is only a link, without a user account with the correct privilege’s the link will just send them to an error or login page..
