For some reason, my wp-config.php is not being found once I upload it to the server. I’ve created the config correctly uploaded the directory as is and tried to run install.php, but it can never find the config file. Any suggestions and help?

It’s not still name wp-config-sample.php is it?

If you’re trying to upload using an FTP client, try logging into your website control panel and using it’s file manager to upload wp-config.php.

First, make sure that the file is named wp-config.php, no spelling errors and that it’s in the same directory as install.php.

Yeah…it’s named wp-config.php, it’s in the same directory as install.php, and I also used the file manager to upload the files. Unfortunately, still no luck ??

Have you had a chat with your host lately? Hopefully someone will help with the simple task of getting a single file uploaded. Hopefully.

“.it’s named wp-config.php, it’s in the same directory as install.php”

    Nooooo……

wp-config.php must be in the same directory as “wp-rss2.php” and “wp-layout.css”

I’m kicking myself for not catching that.
