I am trying to use this plugin but accounts with email addresses that contain an apostrophe do not work with the password reset page. If you enter one and submit, it reloads saying an account with that email does not exist, and the input field has the email you entered but with a slash in front of the apostrophe. Looks like the plugin is escaping the apostrophe prior to submitting it, but an apostrophe is a valid character in email addresses so this should work.

Hi, can you post the email address so i can test locally and adjust the escaping accordingly.

Might want want to mail it to me via me[at]w3guy.com if you are concern about posting it in a public forum.

Thanks for the quick response! We had a workaround in place for one user in our list but had several others that hadn’t tried logging in yet — now they can just log in normally, saving us a lot of effort.

Sure, done. One feature request: options for strong password enforcement and the option to hide or genericize login-related messages for higher security (like not indicating whether an account exists at all in login error messages to prevent brute force guessing of account emails). I usually use iThemes security to do both of those things, but this plugin does not recognize or enforce the restrictions/modifications that iThemes imposes on the dashboard-based login process.

In this case that was a tradeoff worth making and we “enforced” strong passwords on the front end by adding javascript validation to the template, but it would be nice to have that kind of integration with iThemes Security or similar options directly within the plugin.

We recently added option to enforce strong password for registering users together with password strength meter in the PRO version. That is, users will get a password is not strong error notice when their password is deem not strong by the password strength meter.

This might just be the right time to upgrade to the PRO version.

    Cheers.
