    Hello,

I have added the Cart abandoned cut-off time to be 15 minutes and also the same time is inside a template I have created, under the Send this Email.

For some reason, after the client has completed their order, they still receive the email.

Also under the list inside Settings > “Exclude email sendings for” I have ticked all the possible orders that might affect this.

    How can this be possible?

    Best Regards

    Hello @stevendigital,

What is the email schedule time you set for your cart abandonment emails? If you have set the email schedule time and excluded sending abandoned emails for completed orders this issue should not happen.

Please share a screen recording of your email follow-up emails settings and Settings > “Exclude email sendings for” settings you set.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hello,

Here are the settings under Settings > “Exclude email sendings for”:

Here are the follow-up email settings:

I only use 1 follow-up. Let me know if you see something different.

    Update on the previous message:

Also, I would like to know what is the logic behind an abandoned cart or to put it more simply, when the timer starts to count so that a cart can be considered abandoned.

    Hello @stevendigital,

If the user left the checkout page without completing an order after 15 Min ( Cron cut-off time ) plugin will check for an order with the same email address and the same products in the cart.

If the order is not found then the plugin marks the order as abandoned and schedules the emails. And after the scheduled time for emails plugin send the emails. ( 15 Min in your case. )

Could you please let us know how many such orders are there? Or are you testing with your email id?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hello @cartflows

Thank you for your information on that. This did clarify some things. So it first looks as if an order is placed in the checkout, and if is not placed then it starts to send the emails.

I would also like to ask in order to avoid any misunderstanding. If I have not excluded from Settings > “Exclude email sendings for” a specific order status (for example on hold) then after 15 minutes (as in my case) that order’s email user will also receive a discount email. Even if the order is been on hold, as I wait for the wire transfer to happen.

Let me know if this also happens.

    Best Regards

    Hello @stevendigital,

If you have not excluded settings for an order status, based on the recovery emails sending status the emails will be sent to the order category as well, Yes if you do not exclude the on-hold order status recovery emails will be sent to the oh hold order status .

    Hope this helps.
