Email Authentication mail not being sent to new users

    Hi, I did read a couple of threads after searching but couldn’t really find the solution to the problem. There is a conflict whenever a new user registers, they are not receiving the email. I’ve tested this on a new email address that I set up.

    I read it may be due to an SMTP plugin conflict.

    ? We are using a Easy WP SMTP plugin
    ? The new users show in ‘Users with Unconfirmed Email Address’ – have tried resending activation link manually and that has been received, but not the original?

    Hello there,

    I did a test registration on the link provided and also one on the standard WordPress registration page (https://stepparentmagazine.com/wp-login.php?action=register) but I did not receive either email.

    This most likely means that your SMTP server is not configured properly. You said you installed Easy WP SMTP plugin, can you tell me how did you configure it ?

    I recommend using Postman SMTP
    and routing all your emails through the gmail server: smtp.gmail.com / port 465.
    You can read in their FAQ how to create a Client ID for Google and link it to their plugin.

    Please try this out and let me know if it works or not.

    I have attached the SMTP configure settings from Easy WP SMTP. Thing is, if I disable the SMTP plugin, shouldn’t the standard WordPress mail work. I’ve setup the email through our own hosting/domain?

    If the email is setup correctly through your hosting then it should work and emails from Profile Builder should work as well, because they are sent the same way WordPress emails are.

    Your plugin seems to be configured incorrectly. Maybe set Type of Encryption to SSL.
    If it is still not going to work, try to configure Postman SMTP as I suggested.
