I want to mention that I tested this on a fresh WP Instance and the Email Confirmation functionality worked correctly. To check why this happens in your case:
Please go to Profile Builder -> Settings -> General Settings -> and in the “Email Confirmation Page” setting please choose a page where to redirect the users once they click on the confirmation link. Please make sure this page doesn’t have some kind of restrictions set on it. After this do another test and check if you still encounter this issue.
In case you still encounter this issue, then please go to Profile Builder -> Settings -> Email Customizer -> User Emails -> and from there send a screenshot where the “Registration with Email Confirmation” email template can be seen.

In your case, just to be sure:
- Could you please go to your site’s Dashboard -> Plugins -> Installed Plugins -> and send a full screenshot with everything you have installed related to Profile Builder (make sure the?plugin version?can be seen)?
- Could you please go to your site’s Dashboard -> Profile Builder -> Settings -> General Settings -> and send a screenshot from there (please make sure all the settings from that page can be seen)?
- Could you please go to Profile Builder -> Settings -> Email Customizer -> User Emails -> and from there send a screenshot where the “Registration with Email Confirmation” email template can be seen?
