• Hi, I am lost about dealing with my WP profile changes, particularly changing my email ID. When I save the new email as I am moving from Google to MS, it sends me the confirmation link in an email to my Outlook and when I click it, it asks me to log in, so how is that a confirmation like most sites when you click the link, it says confirmed. When I do log in from that confirmation link, WP says the confirmation is STILL pending. I tried this before when I had to change emails to another client on another WP Site I manage. On a separate but related note, I am not understanding why an email ID cannot be used more than once across several WP sites. If a person acts as a tech to manage sites for clients, the clients are not tech enough nor want any WP emails. Sort of need to understand the email purgatory. Are there docs on this, but then I do need some push to help on these confirmation emails with links that go nowhere and still PENDING? Thanks!!

I’ve found this to be a bit flaky. If you have access to PHPMYADMIN, look in the wp_users table (after canceling the email change in wp-admin). Find the row with “admin_email” as the key, edit it, and put in your own email.

Of course it can. Each is independent, unless you’ve set up a wp multisite.
