• Aloha,

The form seems to work, and will accept my input. But the email confirmation link says the confirmation code is invalid when clicked:

    %confirmation_link%

The confirmation code you provided is invalid.

@zztype I went to your site to try to sign, but I can’t see a petition. Can you give me a specific link?

@prowildlife I signed yours, received the confirmation email, clicked and it worked. Can you see that my signature is confirmed in the signature list in the dashboard?

no, sorry, just checked this minute. no signature today

Hmmm…I just tried this on my development site and it worked as expected.

Can you please contact me directly via https://speakout.123host.net.au/contact

Meanwhile, I suggest you temporarily disable confirmations so that you can collect signatures.

    Aloha all,

I apologize, after a few days of flogging this thing, I discovered that changes to the form preferences were not being saved in the MySQL database.

I would turn off the confirmation checkbox, save, navigate to a different preference, then go back to check on the confirmation and it would be fine.

I then navigated away from the plugin pages to somewhere else on the site, then navigate back to the plugin, and the changes would be reverted to requiring the verification.

I tried this several times, with the same results.

I finally went to the phpMyAdmin page and hacked the database fields to force no verification, and changed the cc: address fields.

This caused the form to work. It sent an email to all the public officials listed on the form preferences.

However, although the form acknowledged my signature on the public page, the signature did not appear in the database, and after navigating away from the site and returning, the form showed no signatures listed. Signature did not show up in the Admin panel, either.

After several days, the site owner made me take the form down. That is why you cannot see the form, now.

My apologies. I hope this information helps someone.

This is definitely weird and the first I have heard of it. I also can’t reproduce the problem.
