Email confirmation not working for New User

The confirmation email goes to the site admin okay.

Email isn’t going to the new user.

I thought, at first, this was because I was using the @mailinator service for testing, but I’ve now checked it with a ‘real’ email address, and the new user doesn’t get the email.

Can’t show site at present as it’s behind cPanel security.

I’ve searched, but can’t find anything which describes the same problem.
