Email confirmation only to free plan users

Yes, that is possible – you need enable add-on “Addtional automated messages”. Then in Membership 2 -> Settings -> Automated Email Responses you will get new set of emails to send.
Select “Subscription – Completed (free membership)” and click load template, create your own message there and enable.

yes i saw that, but i want the user to verified his email (e.g. verification link) before he able to login his account.

Membership 2 doesn’t support email verification at this moment but what you can try using for user approval is custom add-on provided in this thread here:
