    Hi, am posting here as requested, after looking through the forum. I am having the same problem “Token has been expired or revoked.” (see below) once a week and I receive only around 4 requests from the contact page a week, so not much traffic. I follow the instructions and its fine for a week though I have no idea if the problem occurs more often as I am not looking daily for emails from the site. Should I download an older version?

    ‘Mailer: Gmail
    {
    “error”: “invalid_grant”,
    “error_description”: “Token has been expired or revoked.”
    }
    Please re-grant Google app permissions!
    Go to WP Mail SMTP plugin settings page. Click the “Remove Connection” button.
    Then click the “Allow plugin to send emails using your Google account” button and re-enable access.’

    Thank You
    Melanie

  • Hi @melanie-bund,

    The Invalid Grant error usually indicates that there are permission issues due to the Secret Key (and all tokens that were generated using that key) being invalidated. There are many reasons for that, most common are when you change your account password or enable two-factor authentication The issue should be fixed by removing the existing connection and re-authorizing your Google account.

    Alternatively, you can regenerate tokens by going to the console.developers.google.com > Credentials page. Click on the Edit screen for your credentials and Reset Secret after that. Here’s the button you need to click.

    I hope this helps!
