Hi, after some of the recent updates of the plugin, there’s an error in my admin area: EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v2.1.1 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:
    Mailer: Ostatní SMTP (Other SMTP)
    SMTP Error: data not accepted.
Consider running an email test after fixing it.

SMTP (Office 365 SMTP) however is configured OK. Test mail sends OK, message disappears and re-appears after a few moments.

    Any solutions? Thank you!

  • I have the same problem.

Same problem here. Is this a ploy to get people to buy the premium edition?

    Hi,

this error was probably present for your sites before our latest plugin updates. We fixed the error saving and displaying for some of the errors for the “Other SMTP” mailer and so after the recent plugin updates you are now able to see this error.

It looks like one of your emails that is sent out from your WP site is submitting email data that is not accepted by your SMTP server.

Please verify all your plugins that are sending emails from your site and check their email settings, if they are configured correctly. In some cases, this error is caused by a plugin with a different From email address than the one that is authenticated for the SMTP settings (SMTP Username).

You could also try to enable the “Force From Email” setting in our plugin settings and see if that resolves this issue for you.

Let me know how it goes.

@gregsh303 the “Other SMTP” mailer behaves the same in our free as well as the premium version.

    Take care!

Thank you for the excellent reply and information.
