When I sign into our WordPress dashboard, I see the following error displayed:

EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v2.2.1 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email: Mailer: Other SMTP
You must provide at least one recipient email address.
Please review your WP Mail SMTP settings in plugin admin area. Consider running an email test after fixing it.

I am able to send the test email with no errors.

I’d like your help to figure out where this error message is being generated. We are running WordPress 5.4.2 and PHP 7.3. We have the Updraft Plus plugin installed. We also have the Contact Form 7 plugin installed.

Let me know if you need any additional information. Thanks in advance for your help with this.

  • Hi @jstepak,

Thanks for reaching out. The error message appears when the last email sent from your site failed and the error dismisses after the successful email is sent. It seems some plugin or your theme is sending an email without any recipient. You might want to install email logging plugins to find out the exact plugin/theme sending the email without recipient.

    I hope this helps!

Hi @jstepak – We haven’t heard from you in about a week, so I’m going to go ahead and mark this ticket resolved. If you still have questions, though, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
