Email field validation

With acf i have an input field of type email and this field is required.
But this field validate only ‘@’ in the entered email address. But i want to validate ‘@’ and ‘.’ in the email address ([email protected]). How this can be done??https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/advanced-custom-fields/
