Why is this, and how can it be corrected so that we get clean emails?
Here is an example of the postings which look like this:
    :
    ’Job:
    ’Company:
    ’Contact:
    ’Website’:
    ’Are:

    contact:

    ”Name”: *****
    ”Email”: ******
    ”Business”: *******
    ”Website”: *******
    ”Comment”: Hi , *******

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Could you post the contact form shortcode as it appears in the post editor on your site, so I can try to reproduce the problem on my end?

    Thanks!

After updating WordPress and Jetpack, it seems to work differently again, but I’m not sure if it has been rectified.

Do the emails still include HTML escaped characters?

I tried using that shortcode on a test site of mine, and the emails do not include any extra characters:

No more escaped characters, as far as I know.

I think there may have been a conflict between Jetpack and iThemes security

I just activated iThemes security on my test site and submitted a new feedback form, but I couldn’t reproduce the issue. iThemes security includes several options, though, so your configuration might have been different from mine.

Let me know if the issue comes up again, and if you can narrow the conflict down to a specific iThemes security setting!
