It sounds like you’re referring to our built-in lead generation form — is that right?

If so, I see what you mean. I’ve submitted the feature request to our developers. While we don’t have an estimated timeframe for when this may be fixed we can certainly let you know once we have an update.

In the meantime, I recommend you to use Jetpack Contact Forms which allow greater flexibility. Jetpack Forms can be as a block within the editor, so you can customize it to your needs.
