Email Issues

Though the plugin successfully sends millions of emails every day, there are a host of issues that can stop or delay emails on both the sending and receiving ends. It depends entirely on your local Server & WordPress configuration. You will need to investigate this issue for your particular local configuration.

Good Luck, Versatlie. The email issues troubling shooting page didn’t help me. Lots of reading with few solutions. Mine still doesn’t work. Let me know if you find something.

Pasqualerose, I did manage to figure out my issue. My email service runs through goddady. I had to setup the SMTP settings to for it to send correctly. By default, wordpress has email set up in a .PHP file as “mail”. In order to change the settings to SMTP, simply download the plugin called “SMTP” by “Sorin Iclanzan”. Hope this helps you as well.

Buzztone, I have been trying to invesitgate this with my web host and they think it’s not them. They clueless as to how to help. Of course they are all in India and there is a communication barrier. Sometimes I don’t know what they are telling me and I don’t think they understand what I am telling them.

For some reason in the email settings of Contact Form 7 the email address “[email protected]” was being sourced from somewhere. It is invalid. It is one letter off. I changed the address to a valid one. The form now works! I am not sure where [email protected] came from? Somewhere an email typo was made, but I cannot find where.

Another form I tried using was also sourcing the same invalid email address, only I was unable to correct it. I don’t where that address is coming from. I cannot find it in my WP account info.
