Email link redirect back to app

  • I created an IOS and Android app of my WordPress site. If someone for e.g create an account on the apps, they will receive an email confirmation, but my issue is, is that the “confirmation link” in the email will redirect the user to the browser version of the site and not to the app itself. Any ideas how to fix this or is there a plugin that can help?

    I’m unsure if this is applicable an app, but when a new user is registered from a browser, the filter ‘wp_new_user_notification_email’ can be used to alter the message’s body. Search the message for your site’s URL and alter the link as needed.

    I may be wrong, but I don’t think it’s possible to invoke an app from an email message. You may need an alternative scheme to confirm the email address is valid and to set a user’s password.
