email message lost its formatting

    hello,

    My (default) contact form was sending through a beautifully formatted email message with separated lines etc

    Then I set up SMTP sending (SMTP Postman plugin) and now the email message is being sent as html instead. The two options that cPanel/Horde webmail present to me are (1) Convert html data to plain text, and (2) View html data in new window. But in both cases this presents an email that has all the header, subject, and message body on a continuous line.

    Shouldn’t CF7 still send a message as plain text when using SMTP sending? As stated it looked great before when sending using the wp mail basic setup. Or is the SMTP plugin formatting it into html?

    What configuration do you have in the Mail tab panel?

    So I have now checked on ‘Use HTML content type’ under Mail tab settings and the message is coming through as text now which is great! Sorry, I thought this would make it html instead of text.

    There still a small issue in that the individual lines, while now separated in new lines in the email message, are not breaking the extra lines. For example:

    From: Jackson
    Subject: picture query
    Message Body:
    line 1 text
    line 2 text
    line 3 text
    line 4 text
    —
    This email was sent from a contact form on Imjexa (https://www.imjexa.com)

    Whereas before it was:

    From: Jackson
    Subject: picture query

    Message Body:
    line 1 text

    line 2 text

    line 3 text

    line 4 text

    —
    This email was sent from a contact form on Imjexa (https://www.imjexa.com)

    Which is a bit easier to read,
