Email Newsletter Plugins

Hi

My organisation decided to start using a WordPress feed instead of a email newsletter a few months because the information would be more current and we figured it was the way of the future rather than an old technique.

However after doing a survey we found that at least 50% of our stakeholders didn’t know what a ‘feed’ was, had no idea how to subscribe and simply wanted an email newsletter again. We figured the easiest thing to do would be send out a weekly newsletter to whoever subscribes that is simply the extracts of the last weeks worth of WordPress Posts with links to the original articles online.

I’ve seen programs that seem to do this for a cost, but figured there has to be some sort of plugin to manage something along these lines. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I’ve looked around and just become confused.
