    Imported a user with CSV file, where the field

    user_login	first_name	last_name	nickname	user_email	role
    

    have values and fields
    nickname user_email role user_url aim yim jabber/gtalk description
    are empty.
    The user is succesfully created.
    Problem: The user receives no password notification email.

    The appropriate option /wp-admin/admin.php?page=sm-uci-settings has been set to ON, the problem occurs also if set to OFF.

    After deleting the user and creating the user the common way on /wp-admin/user-new.php, the user receives the password notification email as expected.

    The site is hosted on common shared hosting server of one of the biggest providers in Germany. The Plugin iThemes Security Pro is activated.

    Questions:
    Why does the plugin does not send an email? Are there common, known possible causes? Any chance to debug this?
    Where is the email template (subject, body) being configured? In an earlier version (last November), this was in row 188-191 in /plugins/wp-ultimate-csv-importer/modules/users/actions/actions.php

    Hi Trilo,

    Hope you are aware that email is necessary for creating users. As your user_email field is empty the email notification for the password may not be sent to the users. Kindly check the import with user_email filled.

    Also after the import with user_email check whether the emails are on the Spam folder.

    Sure, but you got me wrong – I wrote:

    and of course I′m checking the Spam folder.

    P.S.: The “earlier version” mentioned above is 3.11.1 and it is still working on another server. After updating to Version 5.1.1, the email has not been sent.
