    I am looking at using this system for a customer maybe this is somewhere in the documentation but I can not seem to find it.

    Will the client area plugin allow for the site owner to be able to update projects / tasks and have the automated email pass the description field to the client or at least show the description notes upon email link to url?

    By default, email notifications are not turned on, and any changes to a project/task/opportunity will not send email notifications of change.

    You can enable email notifications from WP-CRM System > Dashboard > Email and click Enable Email Notifications.

    Regarding Client Area, any changes made to task/project/opportunities will be reflected in the Client Area of the front page as well as an email notification.

    Email notifications are included by default in the free plugin so you can try them without the Client Area.
