Email Notification from SSO Registration

Hi, we use SSO for member registration. If a user registers normally, the email confirmation and a message to the admin are sent correctly but nothing is triggered if SSO is used. Is the email triggered by a particular role?
Grateful if you could advise how to get emails working for SSO registration.
