  • Do the authors all have email addresses in the same domain (e.g. [email protected]?

Yes I am having this problem too. I am going to call my host again and then post back here if they have an answer.

I’m having this problem also. The site installed locally is sending emails fine, but the one on the live server is no longer sending emails for some reason. No emails in the queue either and none in the spam folders anywhere. This is frustrating. Still looking for a solution. Deactivated all my plugins also but still no result.

Checked with my host, everything is working fine. I used wp-smtp to see if maybe it was php mail that was causing a problem. The test emails send find. Everything sends fine. But comments still do not send notification emails. Hmmm… Any one have any ideas?

Can you set up email notifications on comments to go to anyone else other than the author of the post? I’d like them to come to me as the administrator and also another contributor. Anyone know if that’s a possibility?

    Hi,

I here is a link to a thread that answers this. https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/200261?replies=10

There is a plugin for this.

    Hope this helps.

HELLO! I INSTALLED BUDDYPRESS, BUT THE EMAIL NOTIFICATION IS NOT WORKING. WHEN SOMEBODY TRIES TO SIGNUP IN MY SITE, THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO GET AN EMAIL TO ACTIVATE THE ACCOUNT, BUT THEY NEVER GET IT. HOW DO I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM? CAN ANYBODY HELP ME PLEASE? THANKS.

I am also having this issue. I set up a blog for my father in law who is in Israel for a month and is not very net savvy.

He asked me about how he would be notified when someone commented, and the feature does not seem to be working. I posted an entry on his behalf and commented on it myself, and have not been emailed a notification that there was a comment (the admin email is me).

So- I am frustrated that this feature does not seem to be working. I also think it would be great if we could put multiple forwarding emails in so that multiple people could be informed when a comment is posted.

Anyone have anything that is making notifications work?
    Thanks!
    -Jyn

@jjshih- That plugin is only for the corresponding authors- not multiple, that I can see.

    How odd… help, WP admins?
