I am in the process of moving over from a phpBB message board and will eventually be importing all those users.

One fear I have is the default setting within Buddy Press that has all email notifications are set as “YES”. So when I import all the users and start using the bbPress message board (w/Buddy Press) all of those users will be getting a ton of emails unless they all go in and change their notifications to “NO”. Yes, active users can manually change this. But less active users will start getting notifications on replies and what not that they never wanted.

My question for anyone that has upgraded to GD bbPress Toolbox PRO is if I can default all of those notifications to “NO”? I see there are features for the PRO version that mention the “Notifications”, but I need a bit more info on if this could solve my problem.

    Thanks!

My plugin has no option to control BuddyPress notifications. That system in BP is very complicated, and honestly, I try to stay away from BP as much as I can. So far, Pro plugin users have not requested something like that, so I have not worked on it, and I have no idea if it is even doable (well, most likely it is).

    Thanks for the reply Milan!

I have decided to go another direction than use Buddy Press. But I will be purchasing your PRO version to cover a bunch of other options I want in bbPress.
