Even if I change the from address to something different from {admin_email} the email notification that is sent out always comes from the site admin address. Is there a way to change this?

That’s strange. Can you please share with me a screenshot of the email settings? Please let me know and I will get back to you accordingly.

Btw in the example attached instead of admin email I tried using the email address from the form but the received email shows that it was still received from admin

    Hi @josephas,

Sorry for the delayed response. It was due to the festive season here in our country that we could not get back to you on time.
Anyway, regarding your query, I would recommend you to use the email address directly instead of the smart tag.
You can directly type the email address in the From Email address and then see if it still comes with a different header or the new one that you changed.

Let me know and I will get back to you.
    Regards!

    Hi Deepak,
The use of smart tag was just an example. I tried with both smart tags and directly using the email address. It was always using the admin email.

It would not be too much of a bother but there are circumstances like backup notifications to a certain address like webmaster who is also the admin but the form notifications go to a different person. But the backup plugin has no other option but to send notifications to admin. So I was hoping to send these form notifications to a different email address.

    Thanks again.

    Hi @josephas,

We will be looking into this issue and try to replicate it on our end. Once we are able to replicate it, we will work on it to fix it.
In the meantime, you can also report your issue to our developer team here: https://www.wpeverest.com/contact

    Hi Deepak,
I will report my issue with the developer team. In the meantime I am getting around this problem by creating a new email and filtering only the emails with the Contact form subject to one person and the rest of the admin notifications to the webmaster.
    Thanks.
