We are using Gravity Forms, and in-site confirmation page hyperlinks to our Facebook, IG, LinkedIn, home page work great after a user signs up for our newsletter.

If we try the same code for the actual email notification, the hyperlinks all look like:

  • Those are tracking links generated by your email service provider (or plugin, if you’re sending the mails from your own server). This allows them to track email campaign activity like open rates, click through rates, etc.

The links should automatically redirect to the original links you inserted in your email builder. Most email service providers allow you to turn off tracking links.

Also, if you’re sending the emails as HTML (and not plain text), the ugly URLs will be masked and should not be visible to users.

Thanks George…we’re using Mailgun with Gravity Forms…and that seemed to fix the issues >> set “Click Tracking” = No
