• Hello, I’ve noticed that in my New Post Email Notifications that Images are no longer appearing and links are not appearing or functioning properly; including the use of %permalink%. Styling text with html seems to work fine though. Emails sent through my site are currently working fine with every other plugin except WPUF.

    I’m using the free version of WPUF, but can confirm that these features were previously working for these same emails. Not sure when it stopped working. Any help would be appreciated!

    → May I have your Post Notification screenshot and email output screenshot to assume the issue/reasons. You can use https://snipboard.io/ to share screenshots easily.

    Thanks.

    Just did some experimenting. I can get the image and links to work correctly when removing “www” from any html. However, my site is set up to automatically add “www” to its urls, so %permalink% still will not work correctly.

    Any suggestions or tweaks on your end that do not result in me having to reconfigure my site’s urls? I imagine this is occuring for others too whether they realize it or not.

    @ajohnstone
    This is a good find. Thanks for creating support request for it.

    Hi @ajohnstone

    Do you have any specific reason to use “WWW” for your site? If not, you can change remove “WWW” from your > Settings → General or use without the “WWW” prefix.

    Besides, I am guessing the image is not rendering due to having any Mixed Content issue; otherwise, it should work fine. However, I will have a talk with our respected team regarding this “WWW” prefix image broken issue and if there is anything we need to enhance on the plugin side. We will look into that.

    Thanks!

    @aurangajeb

    Your question:
    “Do you have any specific reason to use “WWW” for your site?”

    My answer:
    I can’t explain for @ajohnstone but in my case, when all your visuals (identity, social medias, printed materials etc.) already carries the “www” part… it is very hard and costly to roll back and reprint. As far as I can remember, the decision to use the “www” has to do with CDN configuration. Can’t remember if it was when I was using Cloudflare?

    Thanks!

    @anticosti agreed! It’s asking A LOT for a company to reconfigure an entire site, brand and enterprise to accommodate an isolated error momentarily occurring in 1 plugin. This should be fixed anyway before a lot more users start noticing and experiencing the same errors.

    @aurangajeb I appreciate your willingness to help. As @anticosti mentioned, restructuring urls is likely not the most effective solution at this point. Regarding the issue, it extends beyond the image, but also in the use of %permalink% and any hyperlinks using “www.” The image url can be statically inserted into the emails, but %permalink% must be automated to update with each new post.

    I hate to say this, but my entire plugin is failing quickly right now. Without having changed anything on my end, the Email Notifications and Settings for all of my Post Forms have suddenly reverted back to Default with no trace of any of my adjustments and content. Furthermore, when simply Editing any Published Post Form to view it, it’s automatically creating a duplicate Post Form. Those duplicates are displaying as blank brand new forms.

    Not sure how to proceed from here…

    Hi there,

    FYI, you can walk through these articles to know more details about the difference, use-cases & if this really matters about the www & non-www:

    However, I believe you have been served by our native support about the WPUF form’s duplicate issue & it has been resolved. We recently encountered this abnormal activity with the plugin, which has already been resolved and will be patched with our next release. We are sorry for the trouble!

    Kind regards!
