Email plugin advice

    On my site I go through books of the New Testament one verse per day. For years I have been sending out the daily posts using Mailpress plugin because it allows me to send out a few emails at a time to avoid being flagged as a spam site. Is there a newer/better plugin to send out these daily verses? Everyone on the list has requested to receive the e-mails. This was started before the days of double opt-in.

    Why do you want to switch to a different plugin?
    What specific need is not being met by your current solution?

    Since I have rebuilt the website I have an issue with mailpress. Instead of sending a few of the mails every 15 minutes, it sends out mails to everyone on the list every 15 minutes until I manually tell it to stop. I have tried to get help with this issue but nobody ever responds to my plea for help. I figured that if I get a different mail plugin perhaps I can get some help to make it work the way I want it to.

    I’ve never tried it, but this one has a similar number of active installations; a large number of 5-star ratings; a relatively low number of 1-star ratings; indicates that it is compatible with the latest version of WordPress and seems to have an active support forum:

    The best way is to try a few and see which one works best for your needs.
