Email Posts On Members Only Site to Non-Members

  • I have created a family website restricted to members (rootbeertogo.com) that I have added. I have one page that is public (https://rootbeertogo.com/?cat=5) for an upcoming Historic Route 66 road trip. These settings using Worpress Access Control plug-in.

    I added the JetPack plug in for subscriptions thinking that I could add the members AND non-members to get email notifications of posts from the public page. I set the posts to be restricted to members only except for subscribers. I created a subscriber using the widget on the welcome page. Then created a post that was expected to go to only the members. However, the non-member subscriber email also got the post.

    I am looking for a way to create posts on the public page that can be received by subscribers, but other posts to members only do not go to the subscribers.

    Also, I am looking for a way to add subscribers to get email posts from the public page without having the subscribe widget on the welcome page.

    I appreciate any suggested alternatives to make this happen.
