I have noticed that the logo on my emails that GiveWP sends out is HUGE when viewed in Desktop Outlook.

This is a flaw with Outlook.

I think it can be fixed by just making sure the image is the right size when uploading it.

I found this in the support docs: ”?Keep in mind that this uploader does not change the dimensions of the image, so select an image that is already an appropriate size and resolution for display on email clients.”

So… What is the “appropriate size and resolution?”

That is the info I was looking for, but could not find.

Summary: what is the best size and resolution for the logo that goes out with emails that are sent out from the site with GiveWP on it?

  • Hi @thirstyjon,

Glad you reached out, this is a great question. We don’t include a pixel size because those dimensions vary across email clients. As a general standard, most email clients recommend a range of?300 to 400 pixels wide and 70 to 100 pixels high.

I would recommend reaching out to Outlook for the specifics on their side of things. They should be able to give you more precise numbers than I can, and then you can resize your image as needed.

I’ll go ahead and mark this as resolved for now, but if you still have questions you can send them along here and I’ll hop right in. Have a great day!

This isn’t really a “receiving” side issue. I need to make the change in GiveWP.

You guys should have recommended dimensions and pixels in your documentation.
