email required to download PDF

  • Hi there,
    I am looking for a solution to allow customers to download a pdf goodie in change of their email.
    I already looked at the plugins like Email Before Download they don’t work as I wish.
    So before making big changes in the website structure I would like to know if anyone has already faced and solved the same issue.

    The idea (nothing new to internet!) is that customer clicks on the download button (https://aroundcaorle.com/en/) and a popup shows asking the email address to download the PDF.
    I would like to avoid using a contact form.
