    Hello!

All of the sudden my newsletter emails are being sent from “[email protected]” instead of from my gmail address. This began on Thursday 2/1/24. I had one email go out at 4:36 am that came from my email address correctly, but then I sent another one at 7:48 am and it came as wordpress.com and all others since have came this way.

I have checked my settings and everything seems to be in order. After the first incorrect one I went in and checked the Force From Name to see if that would fix the issue. It did not since my email that went out this morning is still coming through from wordpress.com.

I have sent a test email and it came through correctly from my gmail.

Any insight you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Heather

  • Hi @heatheradoresbooks,

Thanks for reaching out and I apologize for the delay in getting back to you.

If you have enabled the Force from Email option (https://a.supportally.com/86A6pI) and the emails are still not being sent from your WP Mail SMTP From Email, then there’s possibly a plugin, theme, or code conflict somewhere.

To troubleshoot this, please try the following:

    1) Deactivate all plugins on your site and check if you still experience the issue. If you don’t, try re-activating them again one by one so you can detect the exact plugin that breaks the site.

    2) Try deactivating your WordPress theme and use a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty Three) to see if the issue still occurs.

    3) Try making a copy of your site and installing it on a different server to see if the issue still occurs.

I hope this helps. Thanks ??
