email sending

  • Hi,

    I installed wordpress 2.0 on an Apache Server.

    The “email sending” feature does not work :

    – when new comments are published, no email is sent to the administrator (even if the proper options have been selected on the discussion page)

    – the “lost password” feature does not send any email either. I have the window : “The e-mail was sent successfully to XXX’s e-mail address.
    Click here to login!”, but I receive no email.

    Any clue ?

  • I have the same problem that the email feature does not work. I run wordpress on an Apache Server. The server is connected to the internet by a ADSL connection. My server does not run a mail server maybe that is why the email feature does not work. Hope somebody knows how to fix this prolem without installing a complete email server.

    same issue. anything?
